Grayson competed successfully in two young horse classes (5yro) last year, the plan is for him to compete at elementary this year. He is just starting the medium work at home.

Grayson is a horse that Stephanie bought as a project with a view to me producing him and selling him in a fairly short space of time. However this was not to be, as the sweet little young horse we went to see as an unbroken three year old, was totally feral! He was terrified, couldn’t be caught, handled, rugged and was genuinely petrified of people. He was also a little bit croup high when we bought him and has grown from a small 15.3hh, into the incredible hulk! He is not massively tall, about 16.2hh now, but is really robust and seems to have doubled in size and width in the last two years!

We spent the first year just gaining his trust with Steph spending many hours just hanging out with him in the field! We also had some help with him from Jason Webb in the early stages, which was hugely beneficial. 

In the last year in particular, he has really blossomed as he has properly learned to trust the rider, he is so smart, learning things at a rate of knots and really enjoying his work. He has three lovely correct paces and finds all of the work really easy. He has also become so affectionate and sweet on the ground, but still sometimes worries about wearing rugs and definitely couldn’t be trusted to wear an exercise rug! So although we were planning for him to be sold, he has rather won over our hearts as we have won his trust and it will be very difficult to let him go.
